A guide to Florida beaches

Miles and miles of breathtaking coastline, white sand beaches and endless sunshine is what Florida is all about.

The only problem can be deciding which of these gorgeous beaches to visit! From family friendly to remote and exotic - there are too many to mention here so we've selected a few we think you might like.

Cocoa Beach

Perhaps the closest beach to Orlando, Cocoa Beach has something for every visitor. There are plenty of activities going on, and places to eat by day, and by night there is a bustling bar scene with some great live music venues.


Close to Tampa, Clearwater is widely accepted as one of the best beaches in America, this sandy 3 mile stretch has something for every visitor – activities, sun bathing and places to eat.

Siesta Key

The action packed Siesta Key is a popular choice. With perfect soft white sand and calm warm waters it’s an obvious choice for families. Activities are available for the more adventurous and there are playgrounds and picnic areas doted around.

Key West

Key West is a little piece of paradise. The sands are glorious and the water pristine. Here you can snorkel and boat hire is available.

Naples Beaches

Naples beach is a fabulous narrow stretch of stunning sand and rolling surf. It's flanked by the spectacular properties known as Millionaire' Row. This is a great family day out - lots of facilities including parasol hire, snorkelling and kayaking.

St. Petes

Just a 90 minute drive from Orlando, this relaxed destination is a must see. Boasting white sand and warm water the beach is idyllic - another great family day out with all tastes and budgets catered for with the fantastic array of places to eat.


The world famous Miami Beach has to be worth a mention! Bursting with young, beautiful trendy people it's ideal for people watching.

South Beach is packed with shops, restaurants and bars - perfect for visiting when you've had enough of lounging on the miles of golden sand.
