There's nowhere in the world quite like Orlando. One of the sunshine state's most well-loved cities, a holiday to Orlando is the perfect place to base your next trip to America. There are over a dozen theme parks here too, including the amazing Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando, so fun and thrills are guaranteed!
Points of Interest
No trip to Orlando is complete without a visit to two of the world's biggest - and best - theme parks. Both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, which is where The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is also based, are located in Orlando, and promise endless entertainment for all ages.
Another must-see is International Drive, one of Florida's busiest commercial areas. Buzzing with life, this hotspot in Orlando is home to SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye and the gamers paradise that is VR Territory Orlando.
Attractions
Alongside its many theme parks, there are so many awesome things to keep you entertained while in Orlando. If you're a fan of fishing, there are endless spots to visit - but Lake Harris is perhaps the best, and renowned for bass.
Golfers old and young won't have to look far for world-class courses, and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club is not to be missed, with its 18-hole course designed by Greg Norman. SeaWorld is a must too for those who want to experience marine life, rollercoasters and the fun of a waterpark all in one day.
You'll find Daytona Beach, Cocoa Beach and New Smyrna Beach all within an hour's drive of Orlando as well, for those days where you want to make the most of Florida's incredible weather.
Shopping
From huge malls to premium boutiques, you'll find just about every kind of store in Orlando. There are so many places to shop in the city, but a must-visit for all holidaymakers should be The Mall at Millenia. You'll find a mix of high-street and designer brands here, alongside two of America's biggest department stores: Macy's and Bloomingdale’s.
For discounted goods, head to Orlando Premium Outlets: International Drive. From Adidas and Nike to Calvin Klein, Coach and Kate Spade, everyone can pick up a designer bargain here!
For souvenirs, don't forget to check out Disney Springs and Universals' very own CityWalk too.
Food
Fill your holiday to Orlando with incredible dinners, drinks and desserts by visiting some of the city's most delicious food spots. Twenty minutes from Universal Orlando lies the Mills 50 district, which is fantastic for independent eateries - you have to try King Cajun Crawfish, Anh Hong Restaurant and the Black Bean Deli when you visit!
Disney Springs is great for families too, and Orlando's Restaurant Row is ideal if you're not sure what you fancy eating - you'll be spoilt for choice here.
Nightlife
With its vibrant music scene, iconic restaurants, must-see performances and amazing clubs, you'll never run out of things to do in Orlando when the sun goes down. There are endless comedy clubs, taverns, cocktail bars and music venues to explore across the city, unmissable family-friendly shows and firework displays, restaurants to suit all tastes and huge multi-screen cinemas to keep everyone entertained on a rainy eve.
Adults shouldn't miss out on an evening (or two - or three!) at Universal's CityWalk either. Catch the biggest stars at Hard Rock Live, dance all night at the glamourous Red Coconut Club, and sip the best margaritas in the city.
